Detection of mild cognitive impairment from spontaneous speech of Korean
Recently, as people ages, there has been increasing interest in the diagnosis of age-related cognitive impairment at early stage. It has been received great attention to monitor cognitive impairment through AI technology in conversations, based on the fact that mild cognitive impairment is known to particularly affect speech and language. Automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology has improved performance with the rise of AI technology, and are currently one of the most used AI applications in real life. If early dementia can be detected through daily conversation, it will be of help in slowing the onset of dementia symptoms. In this presentation, we would like to give a brief
introduction from ASR using AI technology to the detection of mild cognitive impairment using spontaneous speech.
